A multidisciplinary professional who lives by the expression ‘you can be more than one thing’. With a career spanning mental health, education, the arts, and social impact, I’ve always had a central focus on wellbeing and the inclusive representation of marginalised communities. My work has taken me across higher education, nonprofit, and corporate sectors, where I have designed and led transformative learning programmes that prioritise psychological safety, equity, and meaningful engagement. Currently, I am an academic and lecturer, teaching subjects including collaborative person-centred care and integrated, effective health services for a Health Sciences degree, Illustration for final year visual arts students and Inclusive Practices to art educators and programme leads. I also am a Module Lead and researcher, working to shape the next generation of practitioners by embedding inclusive, evidence-based approaches into education and healthcare through strategy, programme design and policy.
My research centres on how person-centred practice, equity, and psychological safety intersect to create the ideal environment for wellbeing, retention and success.
Alongside this, I founded Illustration studio line & honey in 2017, exploring the visibility and representation of black women. I have worked with exciting clients on both visual and research projects, including the V&A museum, Kingston University and Bloomsbury publishing.
Previously, I served as Head of Impact & Communication for a mental health psychoeducation charity, leading strategic initiatives that strengthened learning programmes, evaluated long-term impact, and amplified the voices of people with lived experience. Additionally, I have sat on the boards of two charities, contributing my expertise in mental health strategy, governance, and community engagement.
Across my professional and personal work, I am deeply committed to fostering inclusive spaces where diverse voices are valued. Whether through my work as an illustrator, wellbeing programme lead, or university lecturer, my focus remains on creating sustainable, evidence-based change.
