Illustration studio line & honey was founded in 2017, focused on minimal, intentional design and the visibility of black women. We work extensively with clients & brands on illustration commission projects, create art prints for the home, and experiment with our work in different formats such as wellness journals, life drawing events and collaborative workshops.

The theme was connection. A nod to needing it more than ever (project coincided with the pandemic), and hoping to encourage more of that going forward. Five pillars to be illustrated: celebration, community, sustainability, happiness, wellbeing. 



5. River Island
International Womens Day 2022

River Island commissioned four UK illustrators to create an illustration connected to the ‘power of positivity’ for an exclusive t-shirt collection sold across all UK stores and online.   



6. Black Girl Knit Club brand illustrations

A selection of illustrations for the newly launched Black Girl Knit Club - a collective committed to creating an inclusive space dedicated to gathering, knitting and sharing space with others over craft.






7. ‘Lean in’ single cover Nubya Garcia/Concord Jazz
Speaking about her single, Garcia says ‘this track is about the combination of leaning into the frenzy of life and going with the flow, letting the universe keep things moving, and trusting it’s all gonna bop along.’

4. Duality Journal
October 2023

A hardback, full-colour illustrated wellness journal, rooted in mental health activities and prompts from previous clinical work, alongside space for reflection and illustrations that soothe. 




5. Vessel N° 3
May 2025

Created alongside a physical ceramic process, learning to create vessels out of clay. Drawing figures within vessel outlines reflects the idea of us [black women] being vessels filled with memories, stories and futures.
